CALL FOR PAPERS IS NOW OPEN

We invite prospective authors/presenters to submit a brief Abstract, not exceeding 400 words on any topic related to aluminium cast house technology.

There are a limited number of speaking spots available on the conference program.  Your abstract will be used to determine whether you are allocated an oral presentation at the conference.  If your abstract is accepted you will be expected to submit an 8 page paper for publication in a professionally printed conference proceedings.  Papers are to be submitted by 28 February 2009 (at latest).

Abstracts must be received by 14th November 2008.

We are using the EasyChair online conference paper management system to handle all submissions for the conference. To submit your abstract to the conference please set-up an account on EasyChair and lodge your abstract online in pdf format at the EasyChair webpage.

Paper submission instructions:

  1. Papers should be submitted in Word format using the Casthouse_template_2009.dot Casthouse_template_2009.dot (22.50 KB) as provided and following the relevant  ACHT_Template_Guidelines.pdf ACHT_Template_Guidelines.pdf (214.04 KB 2008-11-04 14:17)
  2. Papers should have the following file format for easy identification: ‘Surname_Initial’, where the Surname is that of the first author.
  3. Once you have completed the paper you want to submit using the ACHT template you will need to use Adobe Acrobat to convert your paper into a PDF file.
  4. We are using an online conference paper management system called EasyChair (www.easychair.org) and it will only accept papers in pdf format. 
  5. To create your EasyChair account to lodge your abstract and paper go to http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acht2009

  7. Once your paper is lodged the review process will commence and you can track the progress of your paper through the EasyChair system.  We will send you a copyright form to sign to facilitate publication of your paper.
